Subject Boosting the Russian investment market requires efficient interaction of parties involved in investment processes. Therefore, research in the field of investment analysis is particularly relevant nowadays. Objectives The purpose of the study is to create a universal system of indicators of business project's investment appeal. The system should enable to make a detailed analysis, taking into account the variety of investment relations. Methods The study employs methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, techniques of logical and semantic analysis. Results We identified the underlying assumptions and principles of creating the universal system of indicators, reviewed economic literature in the field of investment analysis. The offered system of indicators includes a universal set of methods that help evaluate commercial, social and budgetary efficiency of projects. The system takes into account individual methodological preferences of users and enables to analyze a separate investment project and real investment portfolio. Conclusions The offered system is flexible and can be developed and tailored to a specific sphere of economy. Currently, we work on practical implementation of the system.
