Subject This article examines the factors, possibilities and conditions for the development of symbiotic relations inside the economy of the Russian Federation and its regions.
Objectives The article aims to determine the combination of factors and conditions for the symbiotic development of the economy of the Russian Federation and its regions, taking into account the different priorities at the Federal and regional levels.
Methods For the study, I used the fundamentals of the theory and practice of systems analysis, economic laws, and the results of scientific research in the area of equilibrium and non-equilibrium economic development.
Results The article reveals the development priorities of the Russian economy at the regional and Federal levels and proposes a set of innovative factors for development that reinforce the symbiotic relations in the economy of the Federation and its regions. The article also identifies a pattern of development of symbiotic relations between the regions specializing in mining and the regions that focus on agriculture and manufacturing.
Conclusions and Relevance Symbiotic development of the economy of the Russian Federation and its regions is possible only in conjunction of “resource” regions and the regions with predominance of agriculture and manufacturing in the economic structure through an innovative model linking regional and Federal levels. The results of the study should be used in the formulation of federal and regional economic policies, as well as supplements to the Russian Federation's planning and technological development strategies.
