Subject This article deals with the issues related to the reproduction process in flax breeding. Objectives The article aims to clarify the theoretical and practical provisions for shaping the prospects of flax-growing development in the Tver Oblast. Methods For the study, I used abstract-logical, statistical analysis, monographical methods, the Delphi approach, and some other techniques. Results The article presents the results of calculations confirming the possibility of expanded reproduction of flax in the Tver Oblast. Conclusions The Tver Oblast loses its top position in the production of fiber flax. The volume of public and private investments is declining. Integrated entity, like flax cultivation cluster is the most promising one in terms of regional development.
