The article examines the state, problems and prospects of development of a banking system of the Chechen Republic. The author present the credit institutions of which this system consists and the main problems of a banking system and production sector of economy of the region at the present stage of their development. Author's approach to development of a banking system of the Chechen Republic on long-term prospect is offered.
