Importance One of the dominating world tendencies is mutual penetration of the banking and the insurance market, synthesis of their services for the purpose of selling both banking and insurance products. In particular, their integration in the form of bancassurance.
Objectives The study aims to research foreign experience in bancassurance under financial markets' globalization.
Methods Using a method of analysis, logical generalization, scientific abstraction, and systems and structural analysis, I identified models of bancassurance organization in foreign countries and considered their transformation under globalization of financial markets.
Results I defined bancassurance development stages of in European countries and the USA, systematized parameters of models of bancassurance organization in the geo-economic aspect and presented their comparative characteristics. Furthermore, I investigated the specifics of bancassurance development in foreign countries.
Conclusions The main models of bancassurance organization include European, North American and Asian and Oceanian ones. Despite the theoretical expediency of financial convergence and financial integration of banks and insurance companies, the extent of distribution of the bancassurance concept differs across countries. The bancassurance concept is rapidly realized in the countries of European and Asian and Oceanic regions. The cooperation between banks and insurance companies in European countries is focused on the combination of banking services and life insurance.
