In the article the current state and prospects of the world diamond industry is considered. Also possibilities of use of methodology Foresight for the purpose of definition of innovative priorities for an diamond-brilliant complex of Russia are proved. Their support will promote introduction of hi-tech and resource-saving technologies, release of new competitive production and development of the export-focused manufactures.
