Importance I consider the monograph by Vladislav V. Klochkov and Svetlana V. Ratner, Managing the Development of Green Technologies: Economic Perspectives, in terms of its scientific significance and solution to issues of choosing the most effective paths for innovative development from environmental and social viewpoints.
Objectives The review analyzes the contents of the monograph, main research objectives the authors set up, and describes methodological approaches to meet the objectives.
Methods Using the content analysis of the monograph, I note that the authors are specialists in economic and technical sciences and demonstrate their ability to deal with technical and economic factors in economic models. Whereas they have a deep understanding of physical and environmental substance of green technologies, it enables them to correctly and adequately analyze issues of technological development and make meaningful economics conclusions.
Results The review emphasizes a critical difference of the authors' approaches from other proceedings on similar subject. As opposed to most researches into economics of natural resource use, this monograph regards green technologies in the context of such fundamental problems of economic theory as resource limitation, inequality, dynamism of innovative development, economic growth and its stabilization.
Conclusions and Relevance The final conclusions of the monograph go far beyond simple guidelines and recommendations. In fact, the authors substantiate the need to change economic growth imperatives, shifting from the competition to cooperation, human mentality, economic thinking.

Keywords: resource saving, management, social effectiveness, environmental effectiveness, innovations
