Importance Controversial intricacies of the Russian industrial development require analyzing practical and new organizational and economic forms. In this respect, it is reasonable to study the phenomenon of industrial parks emerging in the Russian economy.
Objectives The research aims at evaluating, generally, the efficiency of establishing industrial parks as part of national reproduction, considering trends in general indicators.
Methods The analysis is based on statistical groupings and data comparison in movement, per criterion of ownership, association, certification, regional status, number of residents, area, structure, number of job places, etc.
Results Currently, the existing sectoral diversity of industrial parks does not allow using the production concentration principles when solving certain production issues. However, such a production process results in the specific infrastructure uniting small, medium-sized and large businesses in implementing specific research and development chains in order to reach certain synergistic effects that make each enterprise more cost efficient and productive.
Conclusions and Relevance Production becomes more efficient in industrial parks since enterprises save costs by using common production and engineering infrastructure, outsourcing services in transportation, logistics and utilities. To streamline the process, it is reasonable to activate opportunities of industrial policies, such as public-private partnership, where the State can act as a direct agent, which is strategically oriented at high-tech production and manufacturing of high added value products as a priority.
