Subject. The article investigates the accessibility of social services for the population of rural areas.
Objectives. The aim is to determine the features of the existing system of rural settlements in the Krasnoyarsk Krai and trends in its transformation.
Methods. We employ methods of descriptive statistics and graphical visualization of data.
Results. In the Krasnoyarsk Krai, there is a gradual destruction of the framework of rural settlements, agglomerations with polarized settlements are formed, and in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, the focal nature of the settlement is increasing.
Conclusions. In the health sector, there is a discrepancy between the availability of infrastructure and the rural population size. It is crucial to revise the standards for social service delivery to the population of rural areas.
