Subject. The article considers the compliance of Russia's national projects with the Sustainable Development Goals proclaimed by the United Nations. Objectives. The aim is to analyze the contribution of Russia's socio-economic and environmental policy to sustainable development at the global level. Methods. The study employs methods of logical and comparative analysis. Results. The study has established that there is no holistic agenda in the field of sustainable development in Russia. At the same time, Russia's national projects cover all the Sustainable Development Goals enshrined in the documents of the main international organizations. Conclusions. The use of ESG approaches in strategic management will contribute to the development of Russian regions and, as a result, the growth in the well-being of the population.
