Improvement of the social insurance system in case of temporary disability and in connection with maternity

Subject. The article deals with the problems of formation and development of the welfare State, and introduction of the social treasury principles into the system of measures for social support of various categories of citizens.
Objectives. The purpose is to analyze the documentation of the process of granting and paying benefits.
Methods. The study employs general scientific methods of research.
Results. The paper presents characteristics of the main stages of reforming the social insurance system. It substantiates the need for switching to a "proactive format" of assigning benefits. We developed an algorithm of actions for assigning benefits, which will facilitate the effective exchange of information between the insured and the insurer.
Conclusions. The practical use of the results of the study will speed up the process of assigning and paying benefits, which is important for the development of Russia as a welfare State.
