Subject. This article discusses the issues of food security of China.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze China's various agricultural and environmental policies.
Methods. For the study, we used a statistical analysis.
Results. The results of the analysis of various economic indicators confirm that land reform in China has contributed to significant progress in rural economic development. The article also identifies the factors hindering the development of agriculture in China.
Conclusions. It is necessary to implement a number of measures that will contribute to solving the main social and environmental problems of rural areas in China.
