In the article the special role of foreign direct investment in the funding model of innovation development of the Russian economy are disclosed. The proposals directed on increase a role of foreign direct investment for increasing the absorptive capacity of the Russian enterprises and also the additional potential of outer effects of direct foreign investments is revealed.
