Subject The article underpins the creation of logistic centers to deliver agrochemical services to agricultural producers. Objectives The purpose of the study is to develop theoretical recommendations for logistic centers creation to improve the condition of agricultural land. Methods The research relies on regional statistics data. To substantiate the optimal location of logistic centers in the Kostroma oblast, we performed an integrated assessment on the basis of consolidated coefficients for each group of offered factors. Results Based on the calculations and analysis of the combination of factors that consider the competitiveness of districts and vast area of the Kostroma oblast, we defined the practicability of creating two logistic centers in the area. The recommendations will enable to solve a number of specific problems at the regional level; they also may be useful for developing target programs aimed at the rehabilitation of economic fertility of lands. Conclusions Development of logistic centers in the Kostroma oblast will boost scientific activities and realization of new projects for rehabilitation of economic fertility of lands, attract young agrarian scientists to the industry, and contribute to increasing the efficiency of agricultural production. It is also possible to use the experience of introduction of the new modern specialized machinery to train specialists of the agro-industrial complex.
