Subject The article deals with the issues of energy saving and energy efficiency improvement at enterprises.
Objectives The focus is on preparing methodological bases for optimization approach to devising programs for energy saving and energy efficiency enhancement at Russian enterprises in modern conditions of development, considering various options of their positioning in the system of managerial priorities.
Methods The study rests on our own hypothesis that the existing mechanisms to manage the enterprise energy saving and energy efficiency do not fully exploit the potential of innovative activities to achieve strategic results. We offer an optimization approach as one of possible ways to increase the efficiency of decision making. For practical testing, we employ the Gomory method, which is used to find integer solutions in linear programming problems.
Results We developed an algorithm of building the optimization approach to devising programs for energy saving and energy efficiency at Russian enterprises under modern conditions. The paper presents mathematical statements of the problem of optimizing a set of actions at various options of energy saving and energy efficiency enhancement in the system of managerial priorities. We performed a trial testing of the developed optimization approach as applied to operating conditions of a machine-building enterprise.
Conclusions The developed optimization approach can be used in making managerial decisions aimed at increasing the competitiveness of domestic enterprises on the basis of the concept of positioning the energy saving and efficiency in the system of managerial priorities of the enterprise.
