Subject The article addresses foreign trade activities of companies.
Objectives The study aims to build a structural-functional model of the company's foreign trade activities, using the provisions of the economic systems theory.
Methods The literary sources that contain the results of the economic systems theory development serve as input data. The study employs the systems approach, methods of analysis and synthesis, grouping and comparison, abstraction, generalization, analogies, logical analysis, as well as elements of the management theory.
Results The paper presents structural and functional models of foreign trade activity of the exporting company, importing company and the company implementing foreign trade projects, which provide for reverse cross-border movement of goods. I specify the economic systems of four types, and justify their inclusion into the tetrad structure. I also disclose the essence of economic processes implemented by each system, define the content of economic benefits produced and consumed, specify the content of processes for the systems' function management.
Conclusions The structural-functional model of the company's foreign trade activity enabled to reveal four systems that are responsible for economic practice in foreign trade, and provide a rationale for the need to focus corporate management on the activity of the process system – the cross-border logistics, as one of the key factors ensuring the competitive advantage of the company.

Keywords: system economics, system management, process management, cross-border logistics, foreign trade activities
