Importance The article overviews weaknesses of the existing information systems entities in the nuclear sector use to monitor their financial position, being exposed to the integrated risk.
Objectives The research devises a versatile analytical tool for ongoing monitoring of the integrated risk exposure of the R&D entity in the nuclear sector and visualizing combined data to take timely and effective strategic decisions.
Methods The methodological framework comprises principles of a systems approach and analysis, logic and holistic approaches to evaluating economic phenomena and processes.
Results The article reviews options for ongoing monitoring of the corporate financial position as seen in the market. I also identified weaknesses in the existing risk assessment approaches and the effect of risk exposure on the financial position of the R&D enterprise, and subsequent support to, and monitoring of operational and strategic financial sustainability. The article proposes an option for a balanced and automated mechanism for ongoing control over the integrated risk exposure.
Conclusions and Relevance I elaborated a model for ongoing monitoring of the integrated risk exposure of the R&D enterprise operating in the nuclear sector and unified visualization of combined data to maintain operational and strategic financial sustainability. The article may prove useful for practitioners in charge of financial decisions.
