Importance The research unfolds the substance of financial literacy per economic level and aspects of its practical use in the regional bank’s operations.
Objectives The research proves the need to expand the concept of financial literacy to the microeconomic level and upper levels, proposes an overall consistent definition and grades of economic substance, purposes of actors and regulatory requirements to their activities.
Methods The research relies upon methods and techniques for economic analysis, modeling, systems and structural analysis, methods of expert assessment and scientific abstraction.
Results We suggest our versatile construing of the concept of financial literacy, which embraces the concept of professional qualification. The article presents basic tables correlating the financial literacy levels (professional qualifications) and purposes of economic actors, regulatory environment, knowledge needed in these pursuits.
Conclusions and Relevance Financial literacy and professional qualification are very relevant to each economic stratum. The research provides a clear understanding of financial literacy that users of financial services and financial organizations’ employees have. The level of financial literacy – the party of financial relationships demonstrates – becomes a cornerstone to increase the quality of financial services, their targeting and content.
