Subject. The article considers the stability of grain yield dynamics and its impact on the level of labor productivity. Objectives. The aim is to substantiate a methodological approach to comprehensive statistical analysis of stability of yield dynamics and labor productivity in the grain industry of the Orel Oblast. Methods. The information and empirical base of the study rests on official statistical data of the Federal State Statistics Service and the Territorial Body of the Federal State Statistics Service for the Orel Oblast. The research methodology is represented by a set of scientific approaches, like systemic, historical, and complex. The study employs monographic and statistical methods. Results. The paper determined the trend of dynamics and measured the parameters of the grain yield trend, assessed the level of fluctuation and stability of the dynamics of grain yield in the farms of the Orel Oblast. We examined factors of labor productivity changes in the production of grain crops, established the dependence of labor productivity and stability of yield dynamics. Conclusions. The problems of variety stability, technology of growing cereal crops require further research and solutions. The labor productivity increase in grain production needs the attention of all agricultural production services. It is important to provide scientific support for improving the labor productivity and staff training.
