Russian banking system in current market conditions

In the article it is noted that the modern domestic banking system works in mode of structural changes. Therefore the studying of questions of functioning of banking system and improvement of organizational structure of its management, development of a technique of an assessment of overall performance is special urgency. The main approaches of scientists-economists to concept definition "banking system and efficiency of its functioning are investigated and generalized. The need of further improvement of operating structure of management of domestic banking system taking into account occurring legislative and economic changes is revealed.
