Evaluation of multiplicative potential of banking system

The traditional methods of money multiplier calculation are critically examined in this article. The notion of multiplicative capacity of the banking system is bringing in as an alternative to bank multiplier. The procedure of payments considering influence of cumulative actual reserves formed by commercial banks is offered. Multiplicative potential of a banking system of the Russian Federation for 2008?2010 is analyzed.
