In this scientific article the main notions and the essence of financial potential of a region are investigated. For effective management of financial potential it is necessary to preliminarily calculate the indices of evaluation of financial potential elements and to work out measures with the help of Management of financial potential Department of Regional Administration on optimization of financial decisions in the region.
