The article considers topical issues of reducing the load of corruption on the economy with the help of the business community. The issues related to countering bribery and corruption stop being within the competence of only State regulation. The success of fighting against corruption starts depending on business representatives and their involvement in this process. Therefore, collective actions of business become important. This has found expression in the Anti-corruption Charter of the Russian business. Further development of these initiatives may be the activity of the business community, which should encourage its members to actively participate in combating corruption, disclose information on taken measures and provide conditions for carrying out an anti-corruption audit within their organizations. The authors show the value of corruption perception index that exists in the world practice, highlight current trends in its change, and name the forms of participation of businessmen in the collective initiatives on fighting corruption. The study provides a list of methodological and organizational objectives in this area and describes the main ways to fulfill them. The authors have grouped key indicators characterizing the status of anti-corruption work in any individual organization and substantiated the need to develop questionnaires of anti-corruption self-assessment by companies. There is a separate consideration of the role of self-regulated organizations in developing anti-corruption requirements and of the importance of anti-corruption auditors. The authors studied solutions to monitoring the anti-corruption measures taken by companies. The conclusion is that the information on the status of anti-corruption work in organizations, which is received from various sources, can be a basis for creating the Russian Corruption Perception Index.
