Subject The paper considers the identification of the structure of the national financial system and search for consensus on the problem. Objectives We are to propose a structure of the modern national financial system in the context of financial security on the basis of different points of view. Methods For the study, we used the methods of comparative analysis and generalization. Results We propose a structure of the modern national financial system in the context of the country's financial security, separating the categories System of Finance and Financial System. Conclusions and Relevance Separating the System of Finance and Financial System categories makes it possible to separate the elements of the financial system from the elements of the economic system and lay the basis for distinguishing such categories as Economic Security and Financial Security, where Economic Security is designed to ensure the security of the economic system, and Financial Security is designed to ensure the security the financial system. The results of the study can be used by students, postgraduates, professors of economic universities, as well as other specialists in the field of finance to further develop this issue in the study and related fields.
