Subject. The article discusses the main parameters for assessing a banking product from the point of view of their effectiveness. Objectives. The study aims to evaluate and analyze indicators that reflect the effectiveness of the bank’s product, consider the hypothesis about the possibility of dividing performance indicators of a banking product into qualitative and quantitative. Methods. We applied research methods, like analysis and synthesis. Results. The efficiency of a banking product should be considered from the point of view of indicators, which are coefficients, and which reflect the quantitative side of the efficiency parameter. The quality indicators will be assessed using the information presented in the media, customer reviews on aggregator sites, bank position in official ratings, etc. Conclusions. The assessment of quantitative performance indicators must be made not only by using the specified formulas, but also the standards of the Bank of Russia that contain the banking product parameters, financial indicators of the region, where the commercial bank operates.
