Subject. This article discusses the development of the monetary system, taking into account the introduction of new information and communication technologies.
Objectives. The article aims to explore the development of the monetary system using the Semantic Web concept.
Methods. For the study, I used the systems approach, theory of money, and the monetary and financial regulation of the economy theories.
Results. The article finds that classical financial data warehouses can be equipped with semantic data from open sources, thereby effectively facilitating the adoption of timely administrative decisions.
Conclusions. The article concludes that the use of modern Semantic Web information technologies to build an ontology of the monetary system helps create a uniform open information and financial knowledge base of economic participants in real time at a higher level, structure it at the semantic level, and thereby improve the management of the monetary system.
