The management of competitiveness of meat processing subcomplex as the main direction in the provision of food security of Russia

Because of the crisis in the world and national economies the question of the rise of the food products competitiveness is very important. In the article the author examines the state and the problems of ensuring the competitiveness of the meat processing subcomplex in Kaluga region. The author came to a conclusion that in the modern economic conditions we need to improve the management of the enterprises and we must take into consideration the special features of the region. We also need to improve the quality evaluation methods of the competitiveness of the products. The proposed methods will help to raise the competitiveness of the national food products and to provide the food security of Russia.
