The article describes the infrastructure support of socially oriented non-profit organizations in the context of directions, instruments and institutions. The author provides the summary of foreign models of infrastructure support of non-profit organizations in the United States and in the countries of the Central Eastern Europe. The study was funded by the Russian Foundation for Humanities within the framework of the research project "Transformation of sustainability with socially oriented non-profit organizations in terms of cross-sector social partnership in the Russian Federation", project RFH No. 14-02-00119. The analysis of foreign experience in infrastructure support for the non-profit sector in relation to the Russian model allows highlighting areas for improvement in the following main characteristics of infrastructure support for the non-profit sector in Russia: duplication of advanced vocational training programs for non-profit organizations and information sites; lack of structure, which coordinates the activities of non-profit organizations. The author also ascertains the "institutional blurring", which is expressed in terms of not clearly defined entities, which look for the specific activities: firstly, for training and infrastructure of the non-profit organizations; secondly, for the development and monitoring of policies and plans for the development of the non-profit sector; thirdly, for building of a dialogue of the non-profit organizations with the Government and business within the format of communications platform.
