Importance The article analyzes mechanisms and methods for interaction of educational institutions and the business sector from perspectives of the Strauss-Howe generational theory. The article illustrates the relationship of educational institutions and the business community, which should rely upon the existing achievements of sociology and psychology.
Objectives The research aims at reviewing whether the generational theory may become the groundwork to further establish the education process, especially, in relation to today's students representing Generation Z. The research shows that it is possible to adapt teaching methods, techniques for presentation of materials especially considering the needs of both students and ultimate customers, i.e. large and medium-sized businesses. Whereas the economy is experiencing a shift towards innovation, the above approach meets a higher demand and support from both sides.
Methods This article investigates the specificity of two last generations' education and training. When preparing this article, I use empirical and theoretical methods of research, i.e. analysis, deduction and induction, and content analysis.
Results Upon the research of two last generation's education and the specificity, I formulate recommendations on the ways to involve students into the national economy during the education process through changes in the education mechanisms and methods. I believe it is necessary to continue investigating and examining the issues since the generational theory will be efficient only if the specific aspects of the country are taken into account.
Conclusions and Relevance I conclude that in current circumstances we should improve educational management by improving education institutions considering knowledge the generational theory provides. Currently, it is necessary to improve the mechanism for presenting information to students considering specific aspects of perception, and introduce additional disciplines that would help students perceive and understand information. The disciplines will lay the basis for training and teaching high school students likewise elementary school pupils learn writing and counting.
