Importance The article reveals organizational and economic specifics of developing the innovative and investment process in agricultural entities. The article represents scientific novelty as it is necessary to improve the process of attracting investment and implementing innovation in agricultural entities, and make them more attractive for investors and create favorable conditions for their operations. Objectives The research mainly pursues providing organizational and economic description of innovation- and investment-oriented agricultural entities operating in the Ryazan oblast. Methods I applied a horizontal and vertical comparative analysis to examine and generalize experiences of innovative and investment development of agricultural entities in the Ryazan oblast. I studied and analyzed substantial statistics, thus estimating milk production volumes in the region's agricultural entities, which are based on animal husbandry construction, and improvement projects implemented, rather than innovation projects planned only. Results I analyzed activities agricultural entities performed to fulfill innovative and investment projects throughout natural and economic zones of the Ryazan oblast. The research also scrutinizes positive and negative factors describing the innovative and investment process in agriculture at the regional level, considering geographical conditions, and determines priority areas for innovative and investment development of the region's agricultural entities. Conclusions and Relevance I found the most attractive agricultural investees in the Ryazan oblast and the most active areas of innovative and investment activities in natural and economic zones of the region, thus getting a thorough understanding of operations of those entities initiating investment projects for implementing innovation in agriculture of the Ryazan oblast.
