Subject The article discusses the development of the methodology for analyzing the efficiency of foreign trade to ensure the economic security. Uncertainty of the current foreign trade and its future makes such research especially important.
Objectives The study identifies key aspects to be improved in managing the economic security of a company dealing with foreign trade. We use scientific approaches to analyzing its efficiency.
Methods The study is intended to unfold theoretical, methodological principles, which constitute a comprehensive solution to the scientific problem concerning the development of the theory and methodology for analyzing the foreign trade efficiency as part of the economic security management. The study also relies upon general scientific methods, such as logic analysis, synthesis. Special methods include systems, comparative, structural-functional methods.
Results We built methodological approaches to evaluating the efficiency of foreign trade, pursuing the corporate economic security. The article presents methodological tools for strategic management of foreign trade efficiency to ensure the economic security.
Conclusions and Relevance The analysis of the foreign trade efficiency can be conducted more frequently to ensure the economic security provided there are methodological tools based on harmonized analytical and forecasting procedures. If the supply of relevant information for managerial functions is improved throughout the entire analysis of the foreign trade efficiency, various types of information are synthesized in the accounting and analytical system, allowing to forge the systems approach to setting the methodological framework for the predictive analysis, which is of strategic importance, ensuring the appropriate economic security of foreign trade a company carries out.
