Subject. The article addresses the formation of a multipolar world, the strengthening of Russia's financial independence from Western countries.
Objectives. The aim is to identify promising areas of cooperation between Russia and China in the financial sector.
Methods. The study applies methods of systems and functional-structural analysis.
Results. The paper established that the main tasks related to the deepening of cooperation between Russia and China in the financial sector are the creation of an optimal system for protecting the rights of investors, ensuring cybersecurity, formation of a single exchange space, and countering the legalization of illegally obtained funds.
Conclusions. At present, there is a growing trend towards dedollarization of assets and liabilities of financial and non-financial organizations, the prerequisites for the transition to settlements in the currencies of friendly States have been formed.
