Subject. This article discusses the issues of investment policy and support for the social sphere.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze changes in the sectoral and territorial structures of investments in the subjects of the Ural economic region (macroregion) for the period from 2005 to 2021.
Methods. For the study, I used the economic and mathematical research methods.
Results. The article finds that despite the increase in investment in education and healthcare in the Ural macroregion, in general, there have been no significant structural changes in favor of these sectors. Noticeable changes in the sectoral structure of the economy are recorded in the Orenburg Oblast and the Udmurt Republic.
Relevance. The research results can be used to develop regional programmes to support economic sectors.
