Subject. The article deals with the development and production of rocket and space technology in conditions of uncertainty, which are a favorable environment for the emergence of risk situations and combinations.
Objectives. The purpose is to classify risks to be taken into account in the execution of contracts under the State Defence Order.
Methods. The study employs methods of system analysis.
Results. The main internal risks can be classified into management risks (knowledge, organization, marketing, innovation) and resource risks. External risks are associated with deviations in quality, quantity, and price. We propose formulas for calculating risk tolerance and determining the acceptable level of risk.
Conclusions. Competent risk forecasting will enable to most accurately determine the initial price of the contract, which will increase the likelihood of successful completion of work within the specified time frame.
