Subject. This article discusses the issues of countering threats to economic security and regulatory support of the activities of State authorities to protect the economic interests of the Russian Federation.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the issues of theoretical and applied nature related to the Economic Security category and design a model of ensuring economic security that meets modern realities.
Methods. For the study, we used the methods of analysis.
Results. The article finds that due to the heterogeneity of economic objects, a new scientific model is needed, which determines the strategic perspective of the development of the system of economic security on the basis of its division into levels. The article presents options for determining economic security for different levels: country, industry, region, economic entity.
Conclusions. The use of the results of the study in practical activities can help improve the effectiveness of the implementation of State policy in the field of economic security.
