The goal of the article is to study the way the XXII Winter Olympics preparation influences the social and economic system of the city, as well as to expose risks and weak points of the program. The main method of study is systematic and dynamic modelling. Powersim was used to model the social and economic system of Sochi.
     This model was used to run calculation tests and make scenario analysis that provides the decision-maker with information and forecast data.
