Importance The article considers the development of investment processes to ensure the innovation activity in the Central Federal District regions.
Objectives The paper aims to identify trends in the increased economic activity in the regions based on the implementation of innovative changes in the conditions of implementation of investment resources.
Methods The article uses economic-mathematical methods for determining the dependencies of existing innovative actions on investment for that purpose, as well as comprehensive integrated indicators for determining the evaluation of innovative-investment activity of the regions.
Results We have analyzed the investment results in the regions of the Central Federal District, the ratio of investment to the gross regional product, and we assessed the dependencies of a number of key innovation indicators on investment. We shaped and designed comprehensive integral indicators of innovation and investment activities of the territories and ranked them. We propose certain directions for improving the innovation and investment work in regions.
Conclusions and Relevance On the basis of the study and the results obtained, we conclude about the need for greater joint efforts to improve the investment climate and increase the investment potential of regions in order to attract resources to promote innovation, technology and equipment. The proposed comprehensive integration indicator gives the ability to qualitatively and objectively assess the results of the work for each particular territory and give guidance for its improvement.
