Importance The article deals with the issues of pricing for agricultural products and reduction of price disparity which is a key objective for the agricultural goods producers of Russia. Objectives The article aims to identify factors influencing the pricing in the grain business of the Russian Federation. Methods For the study, we used various methods of economic research like abstract-logical, comparative, and the inductive and deductive ones. Results The article describes the approaches to pricing in the agro-industrial complex in foreign countries and in Russia, shows the problems of the Russian price regulation and considers the change in agricultural products price parity. We prove the low effectiveness of State regulation of the grain market by purchasing interventions and green box subsidies and propose an additional kind of direct State support of agricultural producers’ incomes, i.e. a price premium on grain quality. Conclusions Introduction of the proposed methodological recommendations will improve the competitiveness of agricultural products in domestic and foreign markets and increase the efficient use of public funds.
