Subject This article considers the priority development directions and mechanisms of socio-economic development level evening-out of regional systems in the context of polarization of their development. Objectives The article aims to study the process of polarization of socio-economic development of regional systems and formulate their strategic priorities. Methods For the study, I used the methods of logical and statistical analyses, and a systems approach. Results The article presents developed methodological approaches to the evening-out development levels of regional socio-economic systems on the basis of effective use of natural resources and socio-economic potential. It also proposes certain measures to ensure a sustainable development of the regions. The article shows priority directions and mechanisms of overcoming the current polarization of development of regional socio-economic systems.
