Inter-budget relations in terms of unbalance of the areas' socio-economic development

Subject This article discusses the inter-budget relations of authorities and instruments of inter-budget regulation in the conditions of asymmetry of socio-economic development of the areas.
Objectives The article aims to determine the specifics of the current system of inter-budget relations in Russia and assess the level of the unbalanced social and economic development of the RF subjects.
Methods For the study, I used the methods of analysis, synthesis, economic and statistical grouping, and data graphical visualization.
Results The article defines the role of grants to equalize the budgetary security of the subjects of the Russian Federation in the general system of regulation and identifies the main instruments of inter-budget regulation.
Conclusions and Relevance The main problems are the dependency behavior of the regions in financial relations with the Federal center and the lack of necessary instruments of inter-budget regulation, stimulating the authorities to increase economic potential. The results of the work can be applied by the authorities of different levels, responsible for the development and implementation of policies in the field of inter-budget regulation.
