Subject This article discusses the regional support measures for small and medium-sized business exports in Russia.
Objectives The article aims to assess the factors influencing the export volumes of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and develop recommendations for improving the export support system in Russia.
Methods For the study, I used econometric modeling, statistical analysis, synthesis, and comparison.
Results The econometric analysis conducted shows that the current regional export support affects the propensity of potential exporting firms to export only, but it does not affect the export volumes.
Conclusions The article concludes that it is necessary to improve the system of export support in Russia, in particular, by raising the awareness of firms about the measures proposed by the government, supplementing the product line of financial and non-financial support, improving access to logistics infrastructure abroad, reducing transport costs, etc.
