Subject This article considers the issues of employment of graduates of universities, imbalance of graduation structure by program and level of training, and also the mismatch between the acquired competences and the requirements of employers. Objectives The article aims to develop an optimization model of graduation structure focused on the labor market needs. Methods To resolve the problem, we used the deterministic and mathematical model approaches. Results The article presents a mathematical formalization of the optimization model of the structure of graduation of Bachelors, Specialists and Masters, which takes into account the labor market demands. Conclusions The presented model can help optimize the production of specialists oriented to the labor market requirements. The indirect result of the model application may be a decrease in the percentage of unemployed graduates and improvement of the quality of graduates training. Further model extension is supposed in the process of optimization of the structure of graduation on the enlarged specialties considering the same market requirements and criteria.
