Subject This article deals with the issues of estimation of multiplicative effects in the aspect of realization of strategic growth priorities of the regional economy. Objectives The article aims to estimate the multiplicative effect of a sectoral investment project, which is systemically significant in the context of its spatial localization and sectoral particularities of regions. Methods For the study, we used the methods of input-output analysis. Results The article presents certain calculations of multiplicative and indirect effects contributed by the Tyva Republic in the framework of the comprehensive coal mining project. Conclusions The multiplicative potential of a traditionally agrarian region's economy in the aspect of implementation of strategic projects in the mining industry is limited by the factors of underdevelopment of the respective industries. For the Tyva Republic, the meat processing industry can become a more successful strategic direction in the aspect of multiplicative capacity.
