Subject This article examines the issues of harmonious territory development and balance between socio-economic development and the preservation and protection of the Arctic's nature.
Objectives The article aims to analyze the application of environmental innovations in the regions that make up the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
Methods For the study, we used a comprehensive approach that involves an analysis of the economic and environmental indicators of the area's innovation development.
Results The article shows that the introduction of environmental innovation has a variety of trends in the regions. It identifies some regions as the leading ones in environmental innovation and some other regions that have different development indicators.
Conclusions and Relevance Despite the active introduction of environmental innovation in the economic activities of the regions of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, there are significant differences in growth dynamics and implementation results. The materials of the article are of practical value in the region's innovation development management.
