On the issue of sociocultural risk of Chinese enterprises operating in Russia

Subject This article discusses the issues of management of sociocultural risk within the framework of multilateral cooperation between Russia and China, and the dependence of business culture on region- and nation-specific characteristics.
Objectives The article aims to identify sociocultural risk affecting the operations of Chinese business in Russia and determine the most effective methods for risk management.
Methods For the study, I used the methods of statistical and content analyses, sampling observation, disciplinary management techniques, and the case method.
Results The article presents data on the principles, status and prospects of Chinese companies operating in Russia. It also analyzes the components of business culture and offers certain models of organizational culture of the Chinese companies under study.
Conclusions The management culture of Chinese companies operating in Russia is somewhat different from the Russian one. It is necessary to create a corporate culture based on the general concept of business and development. Business should strengthen contacts and develop cross-cultural learning. It is advisable to hire Russian staff, which will help expand the market for Chinese enterprises in Russia.
