Subject This article analyzes the investment environment of the Khabarovsk Krai and identifies factors that affect the investment attractiveness of the region, in general, and tourist destination, in particular. Objectives The article aims to identify factors that affect the investment attractiveness of the tourism industry and predict them. The article also tries to quantify the relationship between the values studied and predict the amount of investment in the economy of the Krai. Methods For the study, we used a correlation and regression analysis. Results The article reveals a strong correlation between such indicators as the number of collective accommodation facilities, the number of tourists served, and the number of specially protected natural areas. Conclusions and Relevance The tourism industry should be developed through implementing an active investment policy aimed at the hotel business development, creating attractive facilities, including the environment-oriented ones, and setting the conditions for public-private partnerships. The findings of the study can be used in the practice to improve the investment attractiveness of the tourist region.
