Subject. This article examines the issues related to the development of the municipal entities of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Objectives. The article aims to develop a cartographic profile of the municipal entities of the Republic of Bashkortostan by level of their economic, social, and infrastructure development. Methods. For the study, we used the variance analysis and k-means methods. Results. The article presents a cartographic profile and matrix of municipal entities of the Republic of Bashkortostan in terms of economic, social, and infrastructure development. Conclusions. The presented methodology shows a clear correlation between the most important indicators of effective governance of the region, with an adequate assessment of its economic, social, and infrastructure development.
