Subject. This article explores the independence of regions in the management of financial, industrial and natural resources.
Objectives. The article aims to develop a new methodology for assessing the economic security of the region.
Methods. For the study, I used logical, expert, and statistical analyses.
Results. The article finds that the economic potential of the Bukhara Region is not used enough, due to which there is a decrease in indicators characterizing investment attractiveness, innovative activity, the degree of use of resources, as well as the standard of living of the population in the region.
Conclusions. The article concludes that it is necessary to constantly monitor economic security to identify threats to the development of the region and minimize risks.
