Subject. The article is devoted to strengthening Russia's energy system.
Objectives. The purpose is to systematize technical and economic indicators of gas supply and gas infrastructure expansion.
Methods. The study draws on methods of systems, logical, structural, and statistical analysis.
Results. We established that Russia has a significant potential for the domestic gas market development. The paper formulates proposals to systematize the used and newly introduced planning and reporting indicators of territories’ gasification level to create a State digital platform designed, among other things, to assess the situation in the energy sector of the Russian economy.
Conclusions. The findings can be used by the authorities for development and monitoring of gasification programs implementation in Russian regions.
