Subject. This article discusses the issues of improving the competitive stability of countries and regions, and the search for new forms of production organization.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the formation of cluster structures in developed countries.
Methods. For the study, I used the general scientific research methods.
Results. The article finds that a cluster is a network of territorially connected and mutually supportive enterprises. Improving the competitive stability of enterprises, regions and the national economy as a whole is ensured by vertical ties between producers and buyers, grouped around the scientific and educational center, with authorities at various levels.
Conclusions. Industrial-territorial clusters develop successfully if their functioning creates a synergistic effect.
